We consider the challenge of digital security to be well known. However, in the industrial sector it is multiplying as it comes to face issues that a few years ago did not enter the controversial discussion.

The involvement of the companies' management and their perspective is decisive. As well as the need to collaborate with departments and subgroups that until now thought they could move autonomously.

It is necessary that any new regulations are real drivers of increasing digital security and safety, and not a sterile confrontation or a way of transferring the responsibility that we all have.

Mr. Christos Syngelakis is Group Chief Information Security Officer and Group Data Protection Officer of Motor Oil since 2016.
