Director of Jersey Cyber Security Centre
As the first Director of Jersey Cyber Security Centre, Matt is responsible for Jersey's cyber defence, overseeing the strategic direction of JCSC to promote and improve cyber resilience across critical national infrastructure, businesses, communities, and citizens. He is the founder of the Channel Islands Information Security Forum and a Commissioner at the Jersey Financial Services Commission.
Matt is a recognised leader in cyber security and financial services, having served as CISO for some of the world's leading financial institutions and advised both countries and corporations. He has won multiple awards, including being named Security Leader of the Year and in CSO Online's top 30 Chief Information Security Officers.


Vasilis Katos
Professor of Cyber Security and Lead of BU-CERT
Vasilis Katos is Professor of Cyber Security and Lead of BU-CERT, Bournemouth University's Computer Security and Incident Response Team. Prof. Katos specializes in digital forensics for intellectual property (IP) crime investigations. His work focuses on applying cybercrime and cybersecurity incident response practices to online investigations of IP crime.

As a CIS expert for ENISA, Prof. Katos has made significant contributions to various initiatives. These include the 2018-19 vulnerabilities study, the study on the impact of the recent Cyber Resilience Act on Open Source Software, and the Staff Working Document on Tackling R&I foreign interference by DG Research and Innovation.

Prof. Katos also serves as an external expert for the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) on IP crime. He has played a key role in the development of a Law Enforcement guide for investigating IP infringements, contributing to the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT). Additionally, Prof. Katos has worked closely with the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for over five years, contributing to capacity-building activities for members of the judiciary across a number of EU Member States.
