Venue

European Cybersecurity Day UK will take place on Wednesday 23rd October, and we’d be delighted to have you join us at the Smith Centre, The Science Museum.

About the venue

As the home of human ingenuity, the Science Museum aims to inspire visitors with award-winning exhibitions, iconic objects, and stories of incredible scientific achievement.

With origins in the Great Exhibition of 1851, the museum continually strives to be the best place in the world for people to enjoy science. Our world-class collection forms an enduring record of scientific, technological, and medical achievements from across the globe.

Among key objects on display are Caroline Herschel’s telescope (c.1795), Alan Turing’s Pilot ACE computer (1950), and the Apollo 10 capsule that went into lunar orbit in 1969.

The museum is part of the Science Museum Group. As the world’s leading group of science museums, we share our unparalleled collection spanning science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine with over five million visitors each year.

We highly recommend traveling by public transport due to the lack of parking in the area in general.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT – The Science Museum is a short walk away from South Kensington and Gloucester Road stations which are on the Circle, District and Piccadilly lines. There are also even more bike racks available in the local area if you would like to cycle to the museum.

BY CAR – The Science Museum does not have its own car parking facility, and local parking is very limited. There is no visitor parking on Exhibition Road.
The nearest pay and display car parking is on Prince Consort Road and Queen's Gate.

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has more information about parking near the museum.

DISABLED PARKING
A small number of disabled parking spaces are available on Exhibition Road. Blue Badge holders may park here for four hours between 08.30 and 18.30.

ULEZ
The Science Museum is in the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). This operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year except for Christmas Day (25 December).

If driving to the museum and your vehicle doesn’t meet the ULEZ emissions standards and isn’t exempt, you will need to pay a £12.50 daily charge to drive within the zone.
